When you create an account or submit a quote, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address. We also collect photographs of your cards that you upload through our platform.
When you visit our website, we may collect standard server log data including your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. We use this data only for security and analytics purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information solely to provide our restoration services: processing your quote, communicating about your order, shipping cards, and issuing invoices. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
We may use your email address to send transactional messages such as order confirmations, status updates, and shipping notifications. You may also receive occasional service announcements. You can opt out of non-transactional emails at any time.
3. Card Photos
Photos you submit are used to evaluate your restoration request and document the work performed. We retain these photos for quality control and record-keeping. We will not publish identifiable photos of your specific cards publicly without your consent.
If you wish to have your photos removed from our systems after your order is complete, contact us at support@cappyscards.com.
4. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. Our platform uses HTTPS encryption, access-controlled databases, and authenticated sessions. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If you have reason to believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
5. Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged into your account. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies. If you disable cookies in your browser, you will not be able to remain logged in.
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate our platform:
• Neon (database hosting) — stores your account and order data • Amazon Web Services S3 (file storage) — stores card photos • Vercel (hosting) — serves the website
Each of these providers has their own privacy policies and security practices. We have agreements in place with each provider to ensure your data is handled appropriately.
7. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting support@cappyscards.com. We will respond to requests within 30 days. Note that deleting your account will also delete your order history and any associated photos.
8. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through our platform, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
